A mechanical fitter is a skilled engineering professional who assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery, hydraulic systems, and factory equipment .
They work from technical drawings to precision-fit metal parts, troubleshoot, and use tools like drills and welding equipment.
The mechanical fitter will have some mechanical knowledge ideally from an manufacturing fitter background or similar industry.
A willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications is essential, along with a working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics and electrics.
MIG welding experience is not essential but desirable.

A working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, electrics and completing MIG welding Read and interpret engineering drawings / plans to build machinery to correct spec.
Working in a timely manner producing finished products to build process deadlines.
Raise issues during the build process and record any changes.
Completion of all required paperwork.
