Are you an experienced Telecommunications Specialist looking to take ownership of complex network solutions within a highly technical environment?
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer to join a growing communications technology organisation, where you will play a key role across technical design, pre-sales, project delivery and operational support.
The company is an established provider of advanced wired and wireless network solutions, delivering infrastructure projects and ongoing support to a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector clients across the UK. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to strengthen their senior engineering capability.
In this role, you will work across wireless, cellular, transport and IP network technologies, supporting solution design, Proof of Concept builds, project implementation and high-level troubleshooting. You will also play an important role in mentoring engineers, supporting governance processes and engaging in pre-sales technical activities.
This position offers strong technical autonomy, leadership exposure and the opportunity to work on varied and complex infrastructure projects.
The Role
* Capture requirements and design end-to-end wired and wireless network solutions
* Support cellular, radio, transport, IoT and IP network technologies
* Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 routing, switching and security environments
* Deliver Proof of Concepts, technical evaluations and pre-sales support
* Produce design documentation, BoMs and test plans
* Support project delivery, governance, migration planning and risk management
* Provide technical oversight and collaborate with engineering and project teams
The Person
* Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in telecommunications or network engineering
* Strong experience across wireless, transport and IP networking technologies
* Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 routing and switching
* Experience in pre-sales, solution design and customer engagement
* Comfortable managing projects from design through to commissioning
* Eligible for security clearance
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Proficient in Microsoft 365
