TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Sevenoaks as they look to appoint an Audit Senior Manager / Director to their leadership team.
This is a key strategic hire offering genuine progression to partnership for the right person. The firm is open to shaping the position around the individual’s experience and long term aspirations. The role will be centred around a mix of accounts and audit work, with the balance tailored to suit the successful applicant. You will work with a varied client base, including a significant number of corporate clients across a broad range of sectors, with turnovers reaching up to £250m.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of audit and accountancy services across a diverse portfolio of owner managed and corporate clients.
* Oversee audits from planning through to completion, ensuring effective communication with both the internal team and clients.
* Chair pre audit and post audit meetings and present final draft accounts.
* Offer sound technical advice to clients and act as a trusted adviser on wider business matters.
* Develop and grow client relationships, contributing to the firm’s ongoing retention and business development efforts.
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of qualified and part qualified staff, ensuring high standards of work and timely delivery.
* Support team progression through structured development plans, coaching and continuous training.
* Play an active part in the leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and supporting the firm’s long term growth
Requirements
Audit Senior Manager / Director £70,000- £80,000
* Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
* Min. 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice
* Experience in accounts preparation, auditing SME-sized limited companies, taxation (corporate, business & personal)
* Experience supervising staff
* Effective communication skills
* Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
* Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills
* Good computer skills

Requirements
ACA/ACCA studying or qualified by experience Experience in audit fieldwork, or potentially planning audits. Client-facing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
