Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £13.75 - £14.75 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, and completing assignments Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers Support students with behavioural or emotional challenges Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment Required Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with children or young people Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Additional qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable Experience: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting Experience supporting students with learning difficulties or disabilities Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different learning styles and strategies Knowledge of special education practises and techniques Ability to adapt support methods to meet individual student needs Preferred Qualifications: Higher education qualifications in Education, Psychology, or related field Certifications in specific learning support areas Working Conditions: Work primarily takes place in a classroom environment May involve working with students with challenging behaviours Full-time hours, typically during school hours All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
