Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in Urgent and Unscheduled Care

There has never been a more exciting time to work in primary care, and Waterside Primary Care Network (PCN) is expanding its Clinical Team.

We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring, and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).


Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), you will be a leading example of clinical excellence, with a minimum of two years' experience, supporting colleagues in our friendly department, and providing advanced level clinical assessment and care. With a range of diagnostics available to aid your clinical examination, the UCC environment is an ideal place to consolidate previous experience in Emergency Departments, Walk-in Centres, GP Practices, or OOH environments.

Job responsibilities

up to 37.5 hours per week

Job Overview

* Postgraduate diploma or degree (Advanced Practice Qualification)
* Qualified Nurse Prescriber
* Qualified Triage Nurse
* Teaching Qualification
* ALS, PALS

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Registered Nurse
* Postgraduate diploma or degree (Advanced Practice Qualification)
* Qualified Nurse Prescriber
* Qualified Triage Nurse
* Teaching Qualification
* ALS, PALS


Experience

* Experience working with patients presenting with urgent and unscheduled care conditions
* Clinical knowledge and skills including wound care, sutures, ECGs, venipuncture, and medicals
* Requesting and processing pathology tests, advising patients
* Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, CHD)
* Understanding evidence-based practice and clinical governance
* Accurate record keeping and scope of practice awareness
* Knowledge of public health and health promotion strategies

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, requiring a DBS check for any criminal convictions.

Salary: up to £52,000 per year, depending on experience
