The Finance Manager position is based with a fast-growing luxury spirits business operating across the UK, Europe, and the United States is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to lead its finance function. The company has achieved ~50% year-on-year growth and is currently focused on premium brand development and international expansion.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and Founders, this role combines financial leadership with strategic and operational involvement across the entire business. This position is based in London and is ideally suited for a \"Qualified by Experience\" (QBE) professional who excels in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
* Cash & Revenue Tracking: Maintaining a 12-month rolling cash flow forecast, monitoring bank balances, and reviewing sales performance against forecasts by market and SKU.
* Commercial Partnering: Joining sales and operations meetings to provide financial input on pricing, promotions, and distributor terms.
* Monthly Financial Management: Closing accounts within five working days, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and COGS, and producing detailed management accounts packs.
* Analysis & Forecasting: Conducting budget vs. actual variance analysis regarding volume, price, and margin movements.
* Compliance & Reporting: Managing VAT returns, excise duty, and payroll submissions while ensuring regulatory compliance across all markets.
* Annual Planning: Leading the annual budgeting process and managing year-end statutory accounts and audits.
Qualifications
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance, such as financial control or commercial finance.
* Sector Background: Experience in high-growth environments is preferred, and exposure to the drinks or FMCG industry is highly advantageous.
Required Skills
* Technical Skills: Essential expertise in Xero and strong financial modelling capabilities.
* Communication: Ability to influence strategic decisions and communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
* Adaptable individual with high ownership and a strong attention to detail.
