Contract: Temporary / Exam Season
Hours: Vary by exam timetable (typically between 8:30am – 3.30pm)
We are currently recruiting an experienced Lead Exam Invigilator to support a secondary school in Sandwich, Kent, specifically overseeing exam rooms with students who have SEN and behavioural needs during the upcoming exam period.
This role requires someone confident in leading an exam room independently, ensuring full compliance with exam regulations while maintaining a calm, structured environment for vulnerable learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as Lead Invigilator for designated exam rooms
* Run exams independently in line with school regulations
* Manage rooms containing students with SEN and behavioural needs
* Ensure exam papers are distributed, supervised, and collected correctly
* Maintain control, structure, and calm throughout the exam session
* Respond appropriately to behavioural or regulatory issues
* Communicate clearly with exams officers and senior staff
About You:
* Previous Lead Exam Invigilator experience essential
* Confident managing exam rooms with SEN / behavioural needs
* Calm, authoritative, and professional
* Strong understanding of exam compliance and procedures
* Able to work independently and follow strict regulations
* Reliable and available during the exam period
* Must be able to travel to Sandwich, Kent
