Job Summary Position: Teaching Assistant Job Location:Dorset Department:Education Job Type:Permanent, Term-time only, 40 hours per week Pay Rate: £12.37 - £13.49 per hour or £22,102.72 - £24,103.93 per annum Provide individualised support to students with diverse SEN, collaborating with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment. Therapeutic support is integrated to aid in developing essential independent living skills. Requirements Prior experience supporting children with SEN. Passion for education and commitment to student success. Ability to work effectively in a team. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Enhanced child DBS on the update service Qualification/Education Level 2 Teaching qualification. A strong understanding of diverse learning styles and SEN challenges is crucial. A willingness to expand your knowledge is essential. Experience Proven experience working directly with children with SEN in the UK school setting. Understanding of inclusive teaching practices. Experience with specific SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD) is advantageous. Skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive problem-solving skills.
