About the role
Our procurement team is a critical and integral part of our UK operations effort, working alongside engineering and operations colleagues to ensure we have the right quality parts and services at the right time and price. We keep our wind farms operating at maximum efficiency, powering hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the UK. This opportunity is based at one of our UK operational sites or UK Office locations, ensuring you are fully integrated into our community with a chance to see how your work makes a difference.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking supplier pre‑qualifications
* Working with procurement team and key stakeholders to prepare invitation‑to‑tender documents
* Analysing and evaluating tender returns from suppliers and creating price comparisons
* Attending supplier meetings
* Using our SAP system to raise purchase orders and SAP contracts for suppliers
* Assisting with putting together category strategies and preparation of contractual documents
Job requirements and experience
* Undergraduate studying supply chain, operations management, business, law or engineering, with the option to undertake a full‑year industry placement in your penultimate year. A 2.1 grade or higher is expected. Graduate applicants from the same fields are also considered.
* Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, with the ability to think creatively
* Clear and professional communication in both written and verbal forms
* Ability to coordinate own workload, highly organised and able to meet tight deadlines
* Good knowledge of basic Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Comfortable working in a team environment and keen to develop stakeholder‑management, influencing and motivating skills
* Keen to travel and attend meetings at other sites and offices in the UK and potentially Europe
