High Level Teaching Assistant – Autism Support (Ages 3–19)
We are working in partnership with a highly respected specialist education setting in Christchurch that is widely recognised for its inclusive ethos, specialist expertise, and outstanding support for children and young people.
The school provides a calm, well-resourced environment with a strong focus on communication, independence, and life skills, supporting learners from early years through to post-16 education. Pupils are supported with a range of autism-related needs, including Autism spectrum conditions, Communication and interaction needs, Sensory processing differences, Learning difficulties and developmental delays and Social and emotional regulation needs

The Role
* Supporting pupils aged 3–19
* Working hours: 9am to 3.15pm
* Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver targeted support
* Supporting learning, communication, behaviour, and personal development

Requirements
* A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs
* Experience supporting autistic children or young people is highly desirable
* Confident supporting learning at a higher level under teacher direction
* Must be able to drive due to the location of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
