Location: Bath. This is a Permanent, Part Time vacancy (22.5 hours per week). Closes in 23 days at 23:59 BST.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership on the Clinical Strategy and all medical workforce issues across Sulis Hospital, the CDC and SOC.
* Support delivery of Sulis Hospital’s strategic goals through professional assurance, quality, clinical effectiveness and outcomes; contribute to leadership development, workforce planning and productivity.
* Work with the Hospital Director, Head of Nursing and AHPs, Operational and Business Development, Finance, HR and Estates Leads to develop services and ensure safe, high‑quality care.
* Collaborate with Bath, Swindon & Wiltshire Integrated Care Alliance (BSW ICA), BSW Group of Trusts (RUH, SFT, GWH) and related sites to advance clinical strategy and medical leadership development.
* Support the RUH Chief Medical Officer to improve medical staff engagement and align best practice; contribute to medical leadership development programmes.
Person Specification / Qualifications
* Unblemished GMC (or equivalent) registration.
* Medical practitioner with postgraduate medical qualifications.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Qualification in management, leadership or quality improvement.
* Substantial clinical experience at consultant level.
* Strong clinical leadership reputation with a track record of delivering high‑quality results in management of clinical services.
* Experience of job planning, medical appraisal and managing performance concerns; active as a medical appraiser.
* Experience as Case Investigator or Case Manager.
* Understanding of NHS and Independent Sector health care strategies with demonstrated senior leadership experience.
* DBS clearance required.
