Own your future and join us as an Early Years Apprentice at our Field House Day Nursery in Buckingham. We are seeking a very special person to join us in this role.
Role location: Field House Day Nursery, Buckingham. Apprenticeship start: January 2026.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments across the nursery, plan and implement opportunities to enhance children’s development, and complete observations linked to the early years curriculum.
* Interact positively with all nursery users and work in partnership with colleagues and parents to ensure all children’s individual needs are met at all times whilst they are in your care.
* Adhere to nursery routines and policies and to seek guidance from your leadership team as required.
* Successfully manage your time to ensure you submit your coursework by the deadlines set by your Trainer/Assessor.
End of Apprenticeship outcomes
* Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification; online initial assessment may be required if maths and English are not at level 4 or above.
* Level 2 functional skills qualifications in maths and English, if not already held at the required level.
* Paediatric first aid qualification.
* A permanent contract, subject to successful qualification, with progression to a qualified Nursery Practitioner within the partnership.
Apprenticeship Offer
* A full-time role (37.5 hours per week) gaining practical childcare experience with children under 5.
* Varied shift pattern typically 07:30–18:30, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year.
* 'Off the job' learning time within the working week to support studies.
* Trainer/Assessor from in-house EduBase Academy to guide and direct you.
* Regular group training sessions with apprentices from across the partnership, held at Head Office and EduBase Academy in Newport Pagnell (MK16 8NJ).

* Competitive salary starting at £7.57 per hour, rising to £10.00 per hour after 6 months; age 21+ increases to £12.24 after 12 months.

Application requirements
* Documentation to evidence right to work in the UK.
* Photographic ID (passport or driving licence preferred).
* Evidence of national insurance number (NI card, HMRC letter or payslip).
* Access to a computer to undertake the online initial assessment and submit coursework.
* Resident in the UK for at least 3 years.
* Willingness to travel to group training sessions in Newport Pagnell; costs for travel may be paid, otherwise you may need to arrange your own transport.
* References and an enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment; evidence of Maths and English qualifications if held.
