Dental Hygienist Opportunities in Manchester

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Performing dental hygiene assessments and providing preventative dental care, including scaling and polishing teeth.
* Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good oral health.
* Developing tailored oral hygiene plans based on individual patient needs.
* Applying preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides to the teeth.
* Conducting thorough oral examinations and reporting findings to the dentist.
* Assisting the dentist during various procedures, when necessary.
* Maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
* Updating patient records accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
* Scheduling patient appointments and managing follow-up care plans.
* Assisting with stock control and the ordering of dental hygiene supplies.
* Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, providing reassurance, and addressing their concerns.
Requirements:
* Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from a recognised institution.
* Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Dental Hygienist.
* Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist.
* Proficiency in using dental software systems is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. If you are on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
