We are looking for a Punjabi-speaking befriender volunteer to meet up regularly with one of our residents at our service in Bromley. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services. We are looking for an outgoing, sociable and warm person, who's also a good listener. As a befriender, you will provide companionship and meet up regularly with one of our residents. If you have a couple of hours to spare and can commit to volunteering on a regular basis, we'd love to hear from you! Our resident also enjoys knitting and taking part in arts activities, we are looking for a volunteer who also enjoys knitting and crafts and will be able to spend time with our resident. This role is for an extra care service with self-contained flats for older people with a variety of support needs. Volunteer Duties: - Meet on a regular basis with the person we support - Provide companionship and conversation whilst respecting boundaries - Engage the person we support in activities - Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members - Work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries - Attend regular supervisions with your supervisor and complete any training provided Hours: Flexible days and times
