Contract Type: Part-time (Outstanding performers may be eligible for conversion to a full-time role)
Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Manchester
Salary: per hour plus uncapped commissions
An education officer is responsible for effectively promoting international education amongst students. The education officer identifies potential sales opportunities and effectively converts potentials into customers; provides professional consultation services to international students, assists them, and manages their applications throughout the entire cycle.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Share responsibility for recruiting international students and assist the team in achieving recruitment targets.
2. Plan and execute marketing activities to promote services and help achieve targets.
3. Handle student inquiries and provide professional consultation services.
4. Liaise with universities and students to track applications, arrange interviews, and address inquiries, advocating on behalf of students.
5. Assist with administrative tasks related to student applications, including filling forms, forwarding to universities, tracking progress, and updating records.
6. Maintain communication with colleagues and keep the line manager informed about application statuses or issues.
7. Develop new partnerships for sales and promotional opportunities.
8. Manage partner databases, including contracts and invoices.
9. Ensure partners adhere to company SOPs and coordinate with the training department on training needs.
10. Perform other relevant tasks as requested by the line manager or the company.
Requirements:
* Master’s degree required; PhD preferred.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with international students, universities, and partners from diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to advocate for students, address inquiries, and troubleshoot application issues.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently or in a team.
* Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
