TSA Surveying is working with a renowned multidisciplinary consultancy to identify a talented Building Surveyor to join their growing team delivering a wide range of professional surveying services. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly chartered or mid-level surveyor to work across a national client base with structured support and clear progression pathways.
You’ll play a key role in helping clients manage their assets more effectively — advising on condition, lifecycle, risk, and compliance across healthcare, education, commercial, and public sector estates.
Key Responsibilities
Asset & Condition Surveys
* Undertake detailed surveys of buildings and estates, identifying defects, maintenance priorities, and future capital requirements.
Lifecycle & Asset Planning
* Prepare and manage lifecycle cost models and asset management strategies aligned with client objectives and long-term FM agreements.
Technical Reporting & Advice
* Produce clear and concise technical reports to guide client decision-making, ensuring recommendations are practical, risk-aware, and cost-effective.
Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management
* Act as a trusted advisor to a range of clients, including local authorities, NHS trusts, and private asset owners.
Compliance & Risk Management
* Support clients in understanding statutory and contractual obligations related to building condition, safety, and performance.
Collaborative Project Work
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across surveying, engineering, and facilities consultancy disciplines.
Ideal Candidate
* MRICS (or working towards) with experience in professional surveying services
* Strong background in condition surveys, lifecycle planning, and/or technical due diligence
* Experience working with public sector or institutional clients (e.g. healthcare, education, government)
* Commercially aware, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage workload across multiple clients and reporting deadlines
* Familiarity with tools such as Lifecycle modelling software, CAFM systems, and technical report writing
