MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Role
To support the engineering function by providing breakdown cover and carrying out maintenance on moulding machines, automation systems, and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide breakdown support across all moulding machines, automation systems, and associated equipment during shifts.
2. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
3. Perform breakdown repairs in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
4. Support and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing and automation processes, working with both internal teams and external partners.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared operational goals.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall business efficiency.
7. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety standards.
8. Follow all workplace policies, procedures, and best practices at all times.
9. Contribute to training and development activities to help upskill colleagues.
10. Work towards and support improvement targets, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
11. Provide support to other engineers as required.
Person Specification
12. Time-served engineer with an electrical bias; multi-skilled experience preferred.
13. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improving equipment performance.
14. Experience within an injection moulding environment is advantageous.
