Duties as an English Teacher:
* Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Follow school planning or adapt lessons to suit pupil needs
* Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
* Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
* Support pupils in developing literacy, analytical and communication skills
* Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal English Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in English or a related subject
* Experience teaching English in secondary schools
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Adaptable and confident working across different year groups
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
