We know the Cashback card product has even more potential to unlock and we're looking for a entrepreneurial Commercial Manager to dive the proposition forwards.
Here's the key skills, experience and competencies we're looking for you to bring:
3. A strong background in payments, prepaid cards, or cashback/rewards programs with an understanding of the economics and profitability of a card product, including costs, revenue streams, and managing trade-offs between customer value and business results.
4. Experience in product management, commercial negotiations, and/ or partnership management.
5. Knowledge of card issuing, processing, and payment networks from both a technical and commercial perspective.
6. Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: You'll need to bring a deep knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment and familiarity with applicable regulations (., FCA regulations including Consumer Duty, financial promotions, AML/CTF).
7. Demonstrable experience of developing a compelling, long-term product direction, understanding market trends (especially in cards/rewards/payments), and identifying growth opportunities.
8. Significant experience in vendor management, particularly with external suppliers or partners relevant to a cashback or card program (., card networks, processors, rewards providers).
9. Essential experience working closely with Compliance and Legal teams within a regulated financial environment.
10. Risk Management: You'll be able to identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with the card product.
11. Commercial mindset: You can balance customer value with commercial sustainability, bringing an entrepreneurial approach to growing the CBC business
12. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing complex legal and marketing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
13. Strong data-driven mindset with ability to analyse performance and make evidence-based decisions. Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis to generate performance reports.

This role reports to the Executive Director, Financial Services and will closely with a range or stakeholders across Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal & Compliance to drive the CBC business forwards.

As Cashback Card Manager at UW, you will be responsible for:
15. Commercial Management of the Cashback Card proposition:Managing, optimising, and growing our pre-paid Cashback Card (CBC) program.Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our CBC.Working with our CBC Product Manager and Engineering Squad to deliver the CBC roadmap.Working with marketing and customer service teams to communicate benefits, run campaigns, and support customer education.
16. Supplier Management:Managing relationships with key ecosystem partners, including card issuer, processor, Mastercard payment network, ID check provider, sanctions check provider, 3DS provider, and card manufacturer. This will include contract negotiations, account management and reporting.Negotiating commercial terms with retailers/partners to secure attractive cashback offers.Account management of retailers/partners including reporting.Monitoring and optimising partner performance and resolving operational/commercial issues.
17. Compliance Management:Ensuring the CBC product is compliant with FCA Consumer Duty, PSD2, and all relevant financial services regulations.Managing fraud and financial crime risks in collaboration with compliance and risk teams.
18. Reporting & Analytics:Collecting and analysing customer feedback (. complaints data, customer panel data) as an input to developing and executing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, usage, and retention.Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics (activation rate, spend per card, load activity, cashback earned, fraud, and promotions .
