SEND Teaching Assistants Needed | East Sussex Specialist Schools Specialist SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are currently looking for Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. These schools support children and young people with a range of additional needs, and are looking for staff who can bring patience, resilience and a calm, supportive approach to the role. The Role Responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis Assisting within small group interventions Helping pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning Supporting classroom routines and structure Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams Who This Role Suits This role may suit individuals who: Have experience working with young people Are patient, calm and reliable Can build strong professional relationships Are confident supporting behaviour positively Want to make a genuine difference within education Experience within SEND or SEMH is beneficial, though schools are often open to individuals with transferable skills and the right mindset.
