We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Financial Accountant (fixed term contract) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Financial Control in the delivery of the External and Internal Reporting requirements of the business, alongside driving systems and process improvements Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on: The primary focus will be supporting the financial control team during a busy period of systems implementation Spotting ways to improve how we support with the internal and external audit providing the auditors with all requests in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of the audit process Collaborating with external parties to ensure timely reporting and provide month end reporting of intragroup balances to other group entities Making sure every interaction leaves people feeling confident in Checkatrade It’s not about ticking every box. You’ll do well here if you bring: We would like you to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified You are adept at using systems to identify and implement process improvements You are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by opportunities and challenges A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. Your collaboration and communication skills are essential for building strong relationships across the finance team and with key business stakeholders Strong commercial and analytical acumen You are a self-starter who thrives on ownership and is motivated by making improvements.
