Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Rotherham (S65, S66) Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Do you enjoy working with young people and supporting their learning in a classroom setting? GSL Education are looking for a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work with schools across Rotherham, including the S65 and S66 areas, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of the class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise whole classes, deliver pre-set work, and maintain a positive and focused learning environment, helping students stay on task and engaged. Prime Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absences using pre-planned lesson materials. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Ensure students complete the work set and remain engaged. Provide clear instructions and support where needed. Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour. Requirements of Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confidence leading a class independently. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
