Are you an experienced technology leader ready to make a meaningful difference?
Community Integrated Care – one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious social care charities – is appointing its first-ever Chief Information Officer. With full backing from the CEO and Board, this is a rare opportunity to lead a digital and data transformation that will shape the future of social care.
We are looking for a hands-on CIO who can combine strategic vision with a strong delivery mindset. You will lead a talented team of 30+ IT, data, and transformation professionals and play a central role in embedding data and technology into every aspect of care delivery – improving lives, empowering frontline colleagues, and unlocking the full potential of digital innovation in the sector.
What makes this role exciting?
* Executive-level sponsorship – You’ll report directly to the CEO with strong support from trustees, two of whom are sitting CIOs.
* Real-world impact – Drive solutions that give carers more time to care and help people supported live more independent, fulfilling lives.
* Sector leadership – Shape the digital strategy of an organisation others will look to as a model.
* A strong starting point – Join an organisation with a solid tech foundation, motivated teams, and a culture that’s ready for change.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience as a CIO or in a senior technology leadership role.
* Brings strong expertise in data strategy, application architecture, and digital transformation.
* Can lead cultural change, working closely with frontline teams and support services.
* Is commercially astute, with the ability to build compelling business cases for investment.
* Understands the value of technology in enabling outcomes, not just systems.
This is more than a CIO position – it’s a chance to build a legacy in a sector where digital transformation is urgently needed and deeply meaningful.
