Hours: Bank contract, zero hours per week, with flexible cover to include weekends, days, and night shifts.
Salary: £12.21 per hour.
Reportable to: Sister/Charge Nurse/Matron

About the Role: We are seeking dedicated Bank Health Care Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis, covering holidays and sickness. You'll work alongside our experienced nursing team to deliver person-centred care that promotes comfort, dignity, and respect at all times, providing vital support to patients with complex palliative care needs.
What you'll do:
* Provide personal care, supporting patients with their hygiene, nutrition, and comfort needs.
* Communicate sensitively with patients and families, offering emotional support when it matters most.
* Monitor and record patient observations, reporting any changes to the nursing team.
* Support patients and families at the end of life with compassion and dignity.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and uphold confidentiality.
* Follow all Health & Safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies.
To do the role you'll need:
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
* Experience in a care setting (health or social care).
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in palliative care.
* Flexibility to work across day and night shifts as required.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable to have:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
* Experience in palliative care.
* Phlebotomy skills.
* Ability to speak Welsh.
