Primary Eyecare Services is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our rapidly expanding team.
The role comes with the following benefits:
Annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays. With an additional day accruedfor each subsequent 2 years of employment up to a maximum of 30 days leave (10 yearsservice).
Full sick pay of 5 days per year for all employees upon successfulcompletion of probationary period up to 12 months and then 10 full days and 10half days pay from 1 year of service per year.

Therole will include reviewing and policies, audits, DPIAs and development of resourcesand reports as required for compliance against the NHS standard contract. Thesuccessful applicant will report to the Quality Team Manager.

Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is an established provider of high-quality extended eye care services (those beyond sight testing) utilising a large network of optical practice subcontractors across England (~2500). PES currently holds and manages contracts on behalf of the primary eye care network, spanning more than 28 integrated care systems and delivering over 450,000 episodes of patient care each year with a total annual turnover of ~£25+million. PES is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. This sees the majority of generated income pass through to frontline eye care services in optical practices.
Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is a CQC Registered provider also delivering NHS urgent eyecare telemedicine and NHS referral management services through its Contact Centre located in Ancoats, Manchester.

Role Purpose:
PrimaryEyecare Services is looking for a Compliance Officer. This is to support thecompliance team in the delivery of key aspects of work across Quality andCompliance, including ongoing registration with Care Quality Commission (CQC). Therole will include reviewing and policies, audits, DPIAs and development of resourcesand reports as required for compliance against the NHS standard contract. Responsibilities:
Supporting the development, review andimplementation of policies and SOPs.
Support organisation with data protectionprocesses, including but not limited to Data Protection Impact Assessments(DPIA), Data Sharing/Information Sharing Agreements (DSA/ISAs), data breaches,reporting, investigation and training.
Support development of procurement responses
Support the preparation of information forCQC submissions, monitor submissions, assurance checks and other externalreviews.
Development of reports for quality and compliance.
Report writing, supporting the development of AnnualQuality Plan, Green Plan, Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)Plan and other plans as required within NHS standard contract and/or ongoingCQC registration.
Testing and Review of Business Continuity Planswith development of mitigations.
Achieving and maintaining accreditations Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO accreditations,etc.
Developing the necessary knowledge andexpertise to be able to respond effectively to enquiries from internal andexternal stakeholders.
Compliance audits across the organisation basedon commissioner requests and regulators.
Implementation of continuous qualityimprovement programmes based on outcomes of audits and in response to PSIRFplan and policy.
Review national guidance and provide opinion.
Needs to be time conscious to meet deadlines.
The role will be based from the PES office(Manchester M4 6LN) with the opportunity to work from home from time to time.
