Dealing with all aspects of personal injury claims, predominantly RTA claims, involving injuries of an Orthopaedic nature. Handle claims from cradle to grave, including fractures of any part of the body. Claims normally processed through the portal, fast tracked where appropriate, and escalated to Multi‑Track or SI teams for significant injury cases exceeding £25k. The role is challenging, rewarding, and focused on high‑quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
* Keep clients (lay and insurance) informed and up to date throughout the life of each claim.
* Build rapport with clients, ensuring consistent service and fostering loyalty to the firm.
* Verify authenticity and validity of claims, addressing difficult files with clients.
* Maintain proactive communication and document all relevant information at the outset.
* Obtain and review medical reports, progress claims, and discuss liability or quantum offers.
* Advise clients on contributory negligence where applicable.
* Prioritise daily post and email tasks, handling urgent matters promptly.
* Maximise damages and costs, converting portal claims into fast‑track or multi‑track where appropriate.
* Deliver excellent service and achieve favourable outcomes.
* Support junior team members with client management and procedural matters.
* Escalate contentious files to the Team Leader or Head of Department for supervision.
* Increase multi‑track case numbers within the portfolio, enhancing personal experience.
Experience and Knowledge
* Hands‑on experience with the MOJ portal, OIC portal, and fast‑track claims.
* Working knowledge of portal processes and CPR compliance.
* Track record of supporting successful fast‑track and multi‑track caseloads.
* Excellent client care and analytical skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
* Capability to liaise with external agencies (medical, investigators, barristers).
* Proactive culture to raise efficiency and productivity.
* Good IT skills, familiarity with VF or similar case‑management systems, and MS Office.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills, with a calm, methodical approach.
