Financial Controller Champneys Head Office Contract: Full Time Salary: up to 45,000 p/a depending on experience Fixed Term - Maternity Cover (from June 2026) As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective budgeting. You will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to drive financial performance and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage all financial operations of the hotel, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Produce monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets. Monitor cash flow, revenue, and operational costs to maximise profitability. Oversee accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management. Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls. Support operational departments with cost control and financial planning. Requirements Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role, ideally within the hospitality or hotel industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) preferred. Experience with hotel accounting systems and PMS platforms is advantageous. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams.
