Here\'s what you need to know before applying:You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alternating between our Primary Care facility and our Bedded Down facility, delivering both general nursing care and primary healthcare to our population of 16 & 17 year old Junior Soldiers as well as permanent military staff, at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): • Assessing and treating patients attending with minor injury and minor illness presentations• Delivering high quality, person-centred care using up-to-date evidence-based knowledge• Undertaking nursing treatments and procedures for patients e.g. wound care, suture removal, ECGs, vaccinations, phlebotomy• Participating in health screening duties and health promotion• Assessing and re-evaluating clinical situations and acting accordingly• Monitoring and improving standards of care through evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research and education Who you are: Our ideal candidate will: • Have a current Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration• Have a state-approved or recognised Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing• Have appropriate post-registration experience in a Primary Care environment (however training can be given to the right candidate)• Have good interpersonal and communication skills• Be IT-literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office• Be an effective team member• Be able to work unsupervised• Be able to organise and prioritise workload• Be able to demonstrate continuing professional development Please Note: Security Clearance will be required for this position, plus a DBS certificate.
