We are currently recruiting for an SC Cleared IT Engineer to join a leading IT service provider based in Bristol
Role Overview
You will provide deskside support for incidents and service requests, working within a Wintel environment. The role includes hands-on support for HP laptops and desktops, including break-fix hardware troubleshooting, as well as supporting a wide range of end-user technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide deskside support for incidents and service requests
* Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (HP laptops and desktops)
* Support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite
* Assist users with Skype and mobile technologies (Apple & Android)
* Build, configure, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops
* Ensure all tickets are updated and resolved within agreed SLAs
* Support and guide team members as a Lead Engineer
* Work closely with remote Team Leaders and wider support teams
* Follow and improve existing processes and procedures
* Contribute to knowledge base documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in incident and request management
* Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
* Ability to work independently and proactively, using initiative where required
* Experience supporting mobile technologies (Apple & Android)
* Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and break-fix support
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams
Security Clearance
* Must hold active SC Clearance
* Willingness and ability to undergo DV Clearance is required
This is an umbrella contract, the role is Inside IR35
