Senior Quantity Surveyor, Power & Energy Infrastructure Location: Motherwell (minimum 3 days per week in the office) Salary: £60,000 - £73,000 car allowance, pension, private healthcare, 25 days annual leave I'm currently working on behalf of a leading UK main contractor delivering a long-term programme of works for a major energy provider across Scotland. Due to continued growth on the framework, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of power and energy upgrade works across the region. The Role The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercially responsible for a range of works including: Major substation upgrades Power and wider infrastructure improvements Associated enabling and supporting works across the SSE network The role offers genuine variety, long-term security, and the opportunity to work on technically complex, regulated infrastructure within a well-established delivery team. Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of projects from early works through to final account Administration and management of NEC contracts (primarily NEC3/NEC4) Cost forecasting, change control, CVRs, and reporting Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial performance Working closely with project managers, planners, and the wider commercial team Requirements Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or an experienced QS ready to step up) within the infrastructure or utilities sectors NEC contract experience is essential HV / power experience is highly advantageous but not essential Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple workstreams Able to attend the Motherwell office at least 3 days per week What's on Offer My client can offer an excellent work life balance with hybrid working, excellent career prospects and exposure to a wide range of exciting projects.
