We’re looking for an experienced and driven Area Leader to join our team at our busy beetroot facility. In this role, you’ll take charge of daily operations within a specific production area, ensuring health & safety, quality, and performance standards are consistently achieved. You’ll lead and develop a team, drive continuous improvement, and support the Production Manager in achieving wider business goals. What you’ll be doing: Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment through regular audits, risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet customer, legal, and food safety standards (BRC, HACCP), while supporting audits and quality checks. Team Leadership: Motivate, coach, and develop your team, manage performance, and create a positive, collaborative work environment. Operational Delivery: Oversee staffing, production targets, KPIs, and ensure smooth day-to-day running of your area. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-saving initiatives. What we’re looking for: Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams in a food production or manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of health & safety regulations and food safety standards. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational abilities. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is highly desirable. IT literacy (Excel, Word, data analysis tools) and the ability to work with production machinery/systems.
