SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Long-Term Salary: £100- £120 a day
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with complex needs?
Protocol Education are working with a specialist school in Cheltenham. You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex trauma backgrounds.
Your role will involve:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
• Implementing individual learning and behaviour plans
• Supporting emotional regulation and social development
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience working with children with complex SEND and/or social, emotional and mental health needs
Confident in behaviour management and handling conflict or incidents of aggression in a calm and professional manner
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and trauma-informed practices Strong communication skills and emotional resilience
Team player with a passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
