Are you a Building Surveyor with a few years of experience under your belt, looking for more variety of work or more wide ranging projects?
Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy in the heart of Belfast, is looking for an ambitious Building Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a role for someone who wants genuine variety—ranging from historic restoration projects to modern commercial fit-outs across Northern Ireland.
The Role
You won’t be stuck behind a desk all week. You’ll be out in the field, managing your own portfolio of work and building direct relationships with clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting detailed building pathology and defect analysis.
* Preparing Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiating settlements.
* Acting as Contract Administrator and Lead Consultant on refurbishment projects.
* Carrying out Pre-Acquisition Surveys and Due Diligence for commercial investors.
* Managing Party Wall matters and insurance reinstatement assessments.
Requirements
They are specifically looking for someone with roughly 3 years of post-university experience. Whether you are newly MRICS or currently working through your APC, we want to hear from you.
* Experience: A solid foundation in a consultancy environment (approx. 3 years).
* Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction technology.
* Communication: The ability to explain complex defects to clients in plain English.
* Drive: A proactive \"self-starter\" attitude with a sharp eye for detail.
* Mobility: A full UK driving license (essential for site visits).
