Monarch Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support welcoming primary schools across Chesterfield. We have a range of flexible opportunities starting immediately, including full-time, part-time and day-to-day supply roles, giving you the chance to choose the working pattern that suits you best.
You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, working both 1:1 and in small groups, including children with SEND. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential while gaining valuable, hands-on classroom experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting pupils in class and during small-group interventions
* Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning activities
* Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation
* Providing tailored support for children with additional needs
* Working collaboratively with Teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, coaching, or support roles all considered)
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
* Understanding of EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum (desirable)
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
