The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Event Manager to join our dynamic team in London. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious and commercially-minded event professional who thrives on delivering complex, high-profile events with confidence and creativity. You’ll oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of a portfolio of medium to large-scale events — from conferences and exhibitions to awards and bespoke forums — while also contributing to broader strategic initiatives that drive innovation and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full lifecycle planning and operational delivery of multiple high-profile events in the UK, ensuring exceptional delegate, sponsor, and exhibitor experiences.
* Own project timelines, budgets, and team resources with accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery.
* Manage and build strategic relationships with key suppliers, venues, contractors, and freelancers — including procurement, negotiations, and performance reviews.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with content, marketing, sales, and digital teams to align event objectives with brand and commercial goals.
* Ensure the successful fulfilment of sponsorship and exhibitor packages — including stand logistics, branding, digital activations, and onsite engagement.
* Innovate and enhance event formats, features, and delegate experiences through ongoing trend analysis and competitor benchmarking.
* Lead internal and external stakeholder communications, acting as the senior point of contact pre-event and onsite.
* Mentor and support more junior members of the events team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
* What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of experience managing complex B2B events, ideally within publishing, media, or professional services.
* Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
* Deep understanding of venue contracts, event risk management, supplier negotiation, and budget ownership.
* Proven track record in delivering conferences, awards and sponsorship-led events.
* Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure.
* Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); knowledge of HubSpot CRM a plus.
* A proactive, commercially aware mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
