About Us
We are a family run property company with our office based in Romsey.
We have both residential and commercial property.
You will be required to assist with the maintenance and development of the property portfolio.
The majority of the properties are in Hampshire and surrounding areas including Southampton, Downton, Romsey, Bournemouth.
We require an individual who can take initiative and deal with the day to day property maintenance and development and become a part of our small family firm.
Key Duties
Your days and weeks will be varied. You may be repairing a leak on a shower, painting a room, installing a kitchen, identifying a roof leak and resolving the problem, getting quotes for materials, emptying a commercial unit, the list goes on and this role is varied.
You will be required to travel further on occasion to other properties when needed. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be communicating with staff in the office and tenants.
The following will be required in this role:
· Carpentry: Be able to work with wood, build or repair structures, and install fixtures.
· Plumbing: Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, repairing leaks, and installing or repairing pipes.
· Electrical work: Familiarity with basic electrical repairs, such as changing outlets and switches.
· Painting: Skill in preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing.
· Carrying out minor and major repairs in residential properties
· The ability to identify defects and resolve them independently
· 5 years of property maintenance experience. Qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
· A full driving license
· To own your own tools
· Strong understanding of risk assessments
· Ability to determine the most cost-effective solutions without sacrificing on quality.
* Able to work at heights would be an advantage.
* Must be able to work on own initiative and work in a small team, but complete tasks on your own
This is a full time permanent role to the right candidate. You will be required to work 8.5 hour days Monday to Friday typically 7.30am – 4.30pm and the occasional out of hours. It will include 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. The pay will be between £ £33500 depending on experience and ability. You will be paid weekly.
A work van and mobile phone will be provided for this role.
