We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Media Manager who will drive the social operations for one of our biggest clients. You’ll be a trusted client counsellor, coordinating their activity and the VML social team to deliver truly social activation. You’ll own the social delivery for the client, working with social strategy and content creators, as well as the broader VML agency team, to bring it all together.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Leadership: Work with the account lead to steer clients through every aspect of social activation, building a collaborative and high-trust relationship that can result in the best possible outcomes.
* Collaboration: Foster strong collaborative relationships within the social team and wider VML team, working closely with strategy & planning, data & insights, client engagement, and creative.
* Content Coordination: Manage the pipeline of social content across multiple sources (including UGC and influencers), matching client needs with a strategic approach, to coordinate content creation and curation ahead of publishing.
* Presentation Skills: Present to senior clients and internal teams in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner. Including new proposals, status updates, and performance reporting; all often of a highly complex nature.
* Social Best Practice: Use a truly native and broad understanding of everything social (from LinkedIn to TikTok, from Stories to TopView ads) in conjuction with social strategy to guide/inspire clients and internal teams.
* Brand Guardianship: Understand and be able to embody the needs of the brand, matched with social, and how the different aspects of the brand need to show up (from personal to business, and from more serious to more fun).

Qualifications & Experience
* Have a proven track record of managing social media activity for big brands.
* Have experience of B2B social, as well as B2C. And ideally have experience of social within the financial services sector.
* A demonstrated strong understanding of social media, with a variety of social platforms, and emerging technologies.
* A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Have worked with cross‑functional teams and managed multiple projects simultaneously.
* A degree of some sort will help us understand your background and point of view.
