Personal Assistant Area: Kenfig Hill (Bridgend) Hours: Thursday 8:30 to 12:30 Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour Main Duties: Running a bath(Electric bath seat)at least 2 baths a day, up to an hour each time if not longer Drying a 61 yr old male, who is not bashful and after bath, which helps alleviate some of the pain, And is a psychological factor Helped into Pj’s or clean clothes(bottom half) Going out in the car(Licence not necessary but helpful) Suffers from extreme Depression, Chorine pain(fibromyalgia) Cptsd, Anxiety and panic attacks Wears hearing aids i both ears, so will have to have patience when aids have been misplaced Someone who doesn’t mind sitting down and having a cuppa and talking and Listening to stories from an Proud Ex coal miner Putting the hoover around when things have been spilt Re making the bed Each week will be complete different depending on how the emotions/Pain/ Depression is on the day Person Specification Preferred car and licence holder Good communication skills/English language as struggles to understand with accents due to deafness and struggles to understand what is being said Benefits 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata). SSP will be paid at the lower amount of either £123.25 OR 80% of normal earnings. For workers whose pay varies week to week, this will be an average of the previous 8 weeks' pay.
