Community First Aider (South East Hampshire)
Volunteering with St John Ambulance strengthens communities. From youth support and education to wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.
At St John Ambulance, we are developing our volunteering offer to become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.
We seek individuals passionate about helping others, caring about their communities, and eager to make a difference by sharing your first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you’ll provide first aid at local events and educate the public to promote the importance of First Aid.
By supporting community partnerships, you will help grow our membership and fundraising efforts and spread the message that First Aid Saves Lives.
Volunteering as a Community First Aider offers a sense of satisfaction and pride in delivering an essential service. It benefits you, your community, and our nation, requiring only a small time commitment.
We will provide you with a proper induction, training for your role, and a supportive environment. Details about volunteer roles, expectations, and our volunteer charter are included in the role descriptions.
The South East Hampshire network covers Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham, and Gosport.
Training sessions are held weekly across the network venues to develop skills and plan community education and events.
We plan to hold volunteer selection sessions in June and July, with further details provided to shortlisted candidates.
If selected, you will undertake induction and training on these dates:
Welcome Event (Induction) - Wednesday, 13th August 2025
Role Training - 6th & 7th September 2025
The closing date for applications is 25/07/2025.
