Permanent – term‑time only, with flexibility around full‑time contract possible based on personal circumstances.
About the Role
Join the in‑house clinical team at Heath Farm School. Working collaboratively with staff, you will deliver psychological assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will hold a caseload supported by a clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician, and contribute to school development, staff training and consultation.
Essential Criteria
- Registered member of HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist
- Evidence of recognised professional qualification as Psychologist
- Relevant previous experience in related settings or with related client group
- Experience of effective multi‑disciplinary working, including with clinical and non‑clinical agencies
- Experience of effectively communicating with families, relatives and carers
- Experience of working across different organisational systems (service development, group and individual levels)
- Experience of working within an “assess, plan, do and review” model
- Experience of using consultation as a method of service delivery
- Adequate competence in all core areas of psychological practice, meeting HCPC practice standards
- Knowledge of the client group and their needs
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and neuro‑diversity
- Ability to develop formulations and use them to inform clinical intervention plans and recommendations
- Ability to develop and deliver training to various cohorts
- Ability to write coherent and accurate clinical records, including observation records, consultation records, reports and intervention plans
- Excellent communication skills with complex matters and ideas
- Effective IT skills or aptitude to learn core computer programmes and platforms
- Ability to work effectively with a range of professionals, problem‑solving to achieve service development outcomes
- Ongoing evidence of CPD
- Ability to use evaluation tools to demonstrate and improve service effectiveness and outcomes
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions when necessary
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple demands and meet deadlines
- Undertake relevant group induction training on commencement
- Commitment to the values of the organisation

- Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable
- Experience working with specific client groups such as neuro‑diverse and/or social, emotional and mental health settings
- Experience providing supervision to others
- Working knowledge of current philosophies underpinning services for those client groups
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management
- Post‑qualification training related to role, service or client group
- Training in evidence‑based interventions/approaches
