Role: Specialist Occupational Therapist - Neuro Rehab

Location - The Wellington Hospital, London

Contract Type - Permanent,

Hours: Full time at 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.

The Wellington Hospital has over four decades of expertise; providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care.

In our 50-bed Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit we care for patients with a wide range of complex neurological conditions. And we're supported by the UK’s largest private intensive care unit. We also offer the latest cancer and robotic surgery treatments, including electro-chemotherapy, HIPEC and the da Vinci Robot. Having the largest neurosciences unit in London means we're able to carry out advanced spinal surgery, intracranial and peripheral nerve surgery as well as pioneering neurosurgery.

You’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care across inpatient and outpatient settings, managing a varied caseload with opportunities to rotate across PDOC, spinal, stroke, TBI, general neuro, acute OT, and outpatients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver specialist OT interventions using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

2. Independently manage caseloads and contribute to MDT planning and communication.

3. Assess patient understanding and consent, respecting cultural and individual needs.

4. Set and evaluate treatment goals using validated outcome measures.

5. Ensure safe use of equipment and support junior staff in competency development.

6. Participate in service development, audits, and weekend rotas as required.

7. Maintain CPD, contribute to education sessions, and support students and assistants.

What you will bring:

8. Professional qualification of Occupational Therapy BSc or MSc

9. HCPC Registration

10. Minimum of two years Neuro-clinical experience

11. Specialist knowledge in Neuro - Rehab
