Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious Assistant Technical Officer to join our friendly team in our newly licensed Aseptic unit.
He/she will be involved in preparing chemotherapy drugs and parenteral nutrition products in a clean‑room environment using state‑of‑the‑art isolators and laminar flow cabinets. Competency‑based training will be provided.
This is a full‑time post. The post holder will be required to participate in the weekend & bank holiday rota and the late duty rota.
Responsibilities
* Assist in providing an aseptic service to the Trust.
* Participate in the preparation of aseptic products – chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition – for use in the wards and to supply other hospitals.
* Ensure good housekeeping in the aseptic clean rooms and other aseptic service areas at all times.
* Manage stock control duties: receipting, unpacking, checking and recording.
* Comply with Cleanroom Personnel behaviour guidelines.
* Generate worksheets and labels according to prescription and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a good standard of education at GCSE level or equivalent. They will be required to complete either the NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent.
Only candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK will be considered for this role.
