We are looking to recruit a Registration Officer to work in our busy and high-profile, award-winning Registration Service. The duties will comprise all aspects of civil registration including the registration of births, deaths, and marriages as well as conducting ceremonies of marriage and civil partnership at hotels and stately homes. Whilst the post is based at The Register Office, Crewe, the successful candidate will be required to work at locations throughout Cheshire East. Therefore, the unrestricted use of a car is required.
The successful candidate must be available to work as part of our award-winning team attending marriages and civil partnerships at weekends, evenings and on Bank Holidays to meet the needs of the Service. They should also be able to demonstrate excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills and have experience of working in a regulated environment. The post requires the ability to deal with a wide variety of people from different social and ethnic backgrounds, and the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate outstanding skills in these areas.
The Registration Service uses bespoke software, for which training will be given, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Interviews to be held 19-20 November at the Municipal Buildings, Crewe. During the interview there will also be assessment tasks.
