Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Electronic Engineering on behalf of our client. This role is an immediate start.
Job Purpose:
To carry out a full range of teaching duties and associated administrative tasks for the delivery and management of Electronic Engineering learning programmes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching sessions in Electronic Engineering.
* Plan, prepare, and manage learning programmes effectively.
* Support learners’ academic progress and provide guidance on progression.
* Monitor learner progress and maintain records as required.
* Attend relevant meetings, learner reviews, and other events as required.
* Complete administrative tasks such as registers, assessments, and reporting.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of the curriculum.
* Liaise with colleagues and external organisations as required.
Person Specification:
* Level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering.
* Teaching qualification suitable for Further Education.
* Relevant practical and/or teaching experience in Electronic Engineering.
* Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent).
* IT literate to Level 2.
* Fully compliance-checked prior to commencement, including references and enhanced DBS.
* Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a Lecturer in Further Education.
Contract Type: Temporary, approximately 14 paid teaching hours per week (fixed schedule – not negotiable)
Hourly Rate: £22-23 per hour
Working Hours:
* Monday: 2:30pm – 4:00pm (1.5 hours)
* Tuesday: 1:00pm – 2:30pm and 3:00pm – 6:00pm (4.5 hours)
* Wednesday: 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 4:30pm – 6:30pm (4.0 hours)
* Thursday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm (2.0 hours)
* Friday: 9:00am – 12:30pm (3.5 hours)
