About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Material Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term basis. This is a great opportunity to join Macphie in a flexible, part‑time role supporting Supply chain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the flow of materials and ensuring timely availability to support production requirements. This vital role involves liaising with suppliers, production teams, and logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise disruption to the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules to meet production needs
* Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and identify potential shortages
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
* Maintain accurate records of material movements and stock levels within ERP systems
* Work closely with production and planning teams to align material availability with production schedules
* Identify and resolve supply chain issues promptly, minimizing production downtime
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain processes
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards in all supply chain activities
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in supply chain coordination, procurement, or materials management, preferably in the food manufacturing sector
* Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
* Proficiency with ERP and inventory management software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers
* Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to act quickly and effectively
* Knowledge of health, safety, and food quality standards is desirable
