Purpose of the Role
Primark Technology is on a transformation journey supporting the business strategy, including modernising our operating model, technology architecture, and Cyber Security and Risk posture. This role is key in building and improving Primark’s Cyber Security posture.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Progress and improve Primark’s cyber security posture through project delivery aligned with industry best practices
* Ensure project deliverables align with the Cyber Roadmap, addressing strategic objectives and gaps
* Advise and lead solutions with internal teams and outsourced partners, including business case development and contractual arrangements
* Implement metrics for auditing and managing vendor performance
* Coordinate resources, prepare delivery teams, and ensure milestones are met
* Manage scope from inception to service delivery, defining and developing implementation schedules
* Maintain a roadmap of initiatives for prioritisation
* Focus on quality, value for money, and compliance with standards
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and meet deadlines
* Report on programme status regularly and participate in governance meetings
* Support daily prioritisation, scope management, and troubleshoot issues
Skills & Experience
Essential
* 8+ years’ experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
* Relevant certifications such as Prince2, PMP, Scrum, SAFe, AgilePM, or Information Security certifications
Desirable
* Passionate and visionary technologist with experience in cyber security delivery and programme management, preferably in retail
* Strong technical knowledge across IT disciplines, including cloud and network security
* Experience managing large, complex programmes with offshore vendors
* Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, SOC 2)
* Hands-on experience in technology delivery from initiation to implementation
* Resource and budget management skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
