Senior Finance Manager - Supply Chain and Logistics

This newly created role will support our Supply Chain and Logistics team in managing costs and enhancing efficiency across our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of three, overseeing financial reporting for the Supply Chain and Logistics cost center.
* Contribute to Depot period reviews, challenge costs, and drive productivity improvements.
* Analyze Depot performance weekly, comparing actuals against budgets and volume-flexed forecasts.
* Conduct scenario planning to evaluate operational and productivity changes' impact on costs and service.
* Assist in budgeting and half-yearly forecasts by collaborating with Depots and the internal Logistics team.
* Contribute to short, medium, and long-term cost forecasts, considering current trading and operational performance.
* Support the Logistics Director in contract negotiations across the distribution network.
* Review and challenge commercial proposals, identifying risks and opportunities relative to the budget.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
* Experience in the Distribution sector is highly advantageous.
* Previous experience managing a finance team is essential.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong commercial awareness and numeracy skills, with a critical mindset.
* Experience in communicating financial performance to senior stakeholders to influence decisions.
* Advanced Excel skills, with experience analyzing large data sets.
