Are you a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a passion for helping UK businesses access the funding they need to grow?
Our client – a leading name in the alternative lending space – is expanding their high-performing team and is looking for an experienced BDM to cover the Thames Valley region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established lender with a strong reputation for flexibility, speed, and relationship-led finance.
The Role:
* Proactively originate new business opportunities across the Thames Valley through direct outreach, networking, and broker channels.
* Promote the lender’s range of commercial finance products including secured loans, property finance, and working capital solutions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with SMEs, introducers, and professional networks.
* Manage deals from initial enquiry through to completion, working closely with underwriting and credit teams.
* Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
You’ll Need:
* Proven track record in business development within commercial finance, alternative lending, or asset-based lending.
* Strong network of introducers, brokers, accountants, or SME clients in the Thames Valley region.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Good credit writing skills
* A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage your own pipeline and diary.
* Knowledge of the commercial lending process from origination through to drawdown.
