Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the Statement of Purpose reflects the needs of the young people in our care.
* Develop effective communication strategies to keep the team informed and engaged.
* Manage and develop quality direct services for young people, adhering to our policies and procedures.
* Identify and meet staff training and development needs, assisting in training as required.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and maintain the home’s facilities.
* Oversee financial budgets and ensure proper administration and record-keeping.
* Promote Equality and Diversity policies and ensure adherence to Child Protection Procedures.
* Set and evaluate quality assurance standards for individual and team performance.
* Provide vision and leadership to the team, ensuring effective workload management.
What We’re Looking For
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Relevant qualifications: Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
* A collaborative spirit to work effectively in a small team.
* A full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to cover at other homes as needed.
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary starting at £31,105.28, with the potential to earn up to £34,362.56 through sleep-in shifts. You will work 42 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern.
