A day in the life of a Murphy, Senior RTR Accountant * Conducting accounting activities relating to the maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger and management accounts * Processing information within the RTR area in line with Group Timetable and SSC SLAs * Delivering timely and accurate information to Group Finance, Head of Tax and Finance Business partners for external and internal reporting * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations * Support teams/ people management * All queries, including audit queries * Performing other assigned General Ledger tasks of a routine nature under the direction of the RTR Manager * This role will be responsible for all Business Units (which will contain Join Ventures) and Functional areas in the UK. Still interested, does this sound like you? * Qualified accountant with a progressive record of success * Possess strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/ control background * Demonstrable experience of working with a wide array of other functions at different levels – commercial, operations, marketing, IT etc * Strong communication and influencing skills – able to network effectively with finance and operational management across the business in a variety of cultures * Proven experience of producing high quality written communications and presentations for senior management * Effective change agent with the ability to gain organisational buy-in and effectively accelerate and implement transformation plans * Strong intellect as well as ability to communicate at all levels, drive change, implement systems and work cross functionally
